Edna Mae Bailey

Edna Mae Bailey, age 88, passed away at her home on January 21, 2021.  She was born on August 10, 1932 in Blount County, TN to the late Billy and Rebecca Caldwell.  Edna married James Bailey on March 31, 1950.  She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Clinton, TN since 1983.  Edna enjoyed going to church.  She enjoyed shopping at J.C. Penny's, Belk and Dillards.  She liked to be the boss of all things.  If something broke in her house then she would call all her neighbors until she got it fixed.  Edna enjoyed days spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved the holidays because she got to see everyone!  She hated to see everyone leave and she hated curse words.  Spending days with Dot while she rolled her hair also brought her joy.  Edna never met a stranger and would help anyone she ever came in contact with.  She would always tell you the truth, no matter if you liked it or not, that was just her personality.  She will be missed by all who knew her especially all who called her Mamaw.  Edna is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister, Dora Kidd.

A visitation will be held at your convenience from 12 Noon - 5PM on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, TN.

The family will meet for a graveside service at 1PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Oak Ridge, TN.

Hatmaker Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
