Dorothy M. Johnson

Dorothy M. Johnson, age 88, of Clinton, passed away on Thursday, February 4,
2021 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Dorothy was born on
October 23, 1932 to the late Rev. Pleasant E. Slover and Lassie Loving Slover.
Dorothy was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Caryville. She enjoyed
watching game shows, working puzzles, spending time with her family and
friends, and holding her fur baby, Joy. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was
predeceased by her husband, Rev. Charles Johnson, daughters, Brenda Sue
Johnson and Linda Franks, and a son, Wayne Johnson. She was also predeceased
by her siblings: Rev. William (Bill) Slover, Millard (Ham) Slover, James L. (Leo)
Slover, Rev. Lloyd Slover, Rev. Floyd Slover, and Bonnie Sharp.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kathy Johnson; grandson, Caleb Johnson;
and daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Johnson. Step Granddaughters: Ginger Marlow and
Jessica Marlow; 6 Step Grandchildren, and her fur baby, Joy. Several nieces,
nephews, and other family members and friends.
Friends may call at Hatmaker Funeral Home, Sunday, February 7, 2021 from
12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Friends and family will meet on Monday, February 8, 2021, 10:15 am at Hatmaker
Funeral Home in Rocky Top to go in procession to Oak Grove Cemetery, Rocky
Top for an 11:00 am graveside service with Rev. Roger Stanley officiating.
