Tommy Lee Cox

Tommy Lee Cox, age 72, of Fratersville, Tennessee passed away on July 31, 2026 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City, where he had been under the care of and living with his son, Chris, for several months. Tommy was born in the Fratersville Community on August 21, 1953 to the late Esco and Betty Chamblee Cox. Tommy had a kind heart, never met a stranger, and was friends with everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Esco Cox, and his brother, Harold Cox. He is survived by his son, Christopher B. Cox, grandchildren Karissa and Grady Cox and his siblings: Janice (David) Mowery, David Cox, Richard Cox, Johnny (Karen) Cox, Steve Cox, Tim (Rochelle) Cox, Virginia (David) Saunders, Mark Cox, Teresa Cox Hipsher, Danny (Teresa) Cox, and many loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family members, and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City for the excellent care they provided to Tommy during his stay and the assistance given to Chris during this difficult time.
