Nona Rhea Shumaker

Nona Rhea Shumaker, age 66, of Lake City, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Nona was born on June 10, 1959, to the late Willard Lee Rhea and Lucy Clowers Rhea in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist Faith. Nona enjoyed painting, crafts, mowing her yard, yard sales, taking short road trips, and spending time with her family and friends. Nona retired from Norris Dam State Park. In addition to her parents: Willard and Lucy Rhea, Nona is preceded in death by her husband: Ray Shumaker.

Nona is survived by several family members, friends, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends: Mike and Kelly Giles and family, her two dogs, also known as her fur babies: Shadow and JJ.

Visitation: 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee.

Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2026, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Rhea officiating.

Family and Friends will meet at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee to go in procession to the Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, Tennessee for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
