Lonnie Lee Foster went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 24, 2025. He passed away at Parkwest Hospital, surrounded by family and close friends. He was born September 29, 1942 in Lake City, where he was raised, and graduated from Lake City High School in 1960.
Upon graduation he enlisted in the army and served in Korea. After his enlistment and honorable discharge, he ambitiously worked in restaurant management, mobile home sales, owner of mobile home company, and as an insurance agent before retiring. In life he enjoyed traveling, boating, bicycling, games with family, and having fun. During retirement he received joy in cooking, reading, helping neighbors at his senior community, and visits/calls with family and friends.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents - Robert Lee and Faye Foster formerly of Oliver Springs, TN; sister - Mary Butcher; sister - Linda Adkins Foust; brother-in-law - Jerry Adkins, all formerly of Lake City, TN
Lonnie is survived by his son - Lonnie Foster, Jr; loving daughter - Lori Myers ( - Bobby Speeks); grandchildren - Chris Foster (Ashley); Whitney Fischer (Josh), and Logan Myers; great grandchildren - Jack Foster, Ryder Foster, Jackson Fischer, and Knox Fischer; brother - Bill Foster (Darles); sister - Kathy Burch (Dennis); brother - Tim Foster (Dawn); sister - Pamela Hartzler (Byron); many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tony and Cindy.
Services to be held at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Rocky Top (formerly Lake City, TN) on Thursday, January 8, 2025. Visitation is at 11:00 with funeral officiated by Rev Eddie Myers of Sonlight Baptist Church at 12:00 noon; burial at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 with military honors by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers - Tim Foster, Chris Foster, Logan Myers; Honorary pallbearers - Bill Foster and Dennis Burch
