Linda Henderson

Linda Gail (Rice) Henderson (65) born November 30th, 1959 passed away peacefully in her home on July 18th, 2025 after her 22 year journey with Multiple Sclerosis.

Through all the years Linda maintained grace and kindness towards her family and friends. Her protective and nurturing nature left her husband and children with fond memories of a loving wife and mother. She truly had a great spirit. Linda’s legacy lives on in her children and grand children. We were all very blessed to have her in our lives.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Roy (R.C.) Rice and Elizabeth (Lou) Rice, her father and mother in-law Robert (Bob) Henderson and Eula Henderson, and her brother in-law Paul Henderson.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years David Henderson, her son Dustin (Krista) Henderson, grand children Riley and Annabelle, her daughter Amanda (Darren) Grubb, grand children Kobe, Jordan, and Elliott, her brother Stanley (Diane) Rice, brother in-law Bobby (Sandra) Henderson, and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Anna Towe who was her care giver and friend for the last 11 years.

Linda began to show signs leading toward a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at a relatively young age. We want at this time to acknowledge the strong display of character and love our father gave to our mother over the last two decades. His example of “for better or worse” was shown not by words, but by his actions; the true example of a husband and protector. He selflessly advocated for her care over the years leading to her longevity.

Finally, thank you to AMEDISYS Home Care, and the hospice nurses that cared for her in her final months.
