Kenneth Ray Smith

Kenneth (Ray) Smith of Rocky Top went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2026

Ken was a loving husband,father and papaw. All that meet him knew his tremendous love for the Lord and his family.

He served as a deacon at New Beverly Baptist Church and Island Ford Baptist Church.

He leaves behind a legacy of great faith and love and watches over his beloved wife Nancy, of 59 years,

daughters Julie Malicoat (Tim), Jennifer Goins (Derrick), grandchildren Tori Arp (Brandon), Noah Malicoat (Hannah), 

Sean Ralston, Sara Malicoat, sister Joyce George (Jim), sister-in-law Sandra Hardesty (Jack), Jake Burnette,

Steve Disney and Mike Ward (who where like sons), and a host of family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by granddaughter Tiffany, two great grandchildren Willow and Greyson, two sisters, two brothers,

mother Bertha, four brother-in-laws and five sister-in-laws.

Graveside service will be at Norris Memorial Gardens, Norris, Tennessee on Tuesday, January 6 a 2 PM with Rev. Mark Dison officiating.

Those wishing to attend may meet at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City at 1:30 PM or come directly to Norris Memorial Gardens.
