Aunt Nellie, I miss you so very much. I miss your sweet smile, your ivory smooth hands, playing with your hair, and you teaching me sign, even at 99. You were a hero to me, showing true courage, strength, and independence! You were as excited as me, when I told you about becoming a grandma, and you loved seeing those baby's sweet faces. Thank you for making my life so much fuller. I'm so thankful for the years we got to love on each other...

I was so sorry to read of Nellie's passing in the Clinton Courier News. She was a very sweet and loving lady. I enjoyed all the years I got to visit her in her Lake City and LaFollette apartments. We had great visits at Island Home Nursing Home, and we played bingo and spent a couple of hours together on June 27 when she won a game (the last time I saw her). I will miss her so much, but I know she is having a great time with her brothers and sisters and Jesus. May God give comfort and peace to her family left behind.
